Pinehurst to resurface 12 roads

Multiple roadways in the Village of Pinehurst will soon have better conditions and improved safety thanks to a roadway resurfacing project set to begin Tuesday, March 4, announced the Village in a media release. The project is expected to be completed by mid-May.

What You Need to Know

*12 roadways will be resurfaced within the Village limits.

*Intermittent lane closures will occur while crews are working. Flaggers will be present during work to direct traffic through the work zone.

*The work on St. Andrews Drive will be in collaboration with the Aberdeen Carolina & Western Railway. This is anticipated to be the only complete closure during the project so that rail ties can be replaced. The closure will take place at the railroad crossing (residents will still have access). Due to the need for a closure, a date for the work has been scheduled for Monday, March 10-Tuesday, March 11. St. Andrews is expected to be reopened to one lane to continue resurfacing on Wednesday, March 12.
