A rear-end collision left two people injured in a wreck on Highway 211 outside Aberdeen Saturday evening. The accident occurred at the intersection of Highway 211 and Carolina Road just before 7:30.

A minivan carrying three people struck a Jeep Wrangler from behind in the rain. Two people were transported to Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

The van suffered extensive damage to the front of the vehicle. The Jeep appeared to have minimal damage to the rear.

Rockwell Towing arrived on scene and removed the van.

The westbound lane of Highway 211 was shut down while crews worked.

N.C. Highway Patrol will be investigating the cause of the accident.

Responding to the scene was Aberdeen Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, and the NC Highway Patrol.
