Moore County under Flash Flood Watch

South Middleton Street/Talc Mine Road is closed Tuesday morning due to flooding. Do not attempt to cross Bear Creek on Middleton Street, said the Town of Robbins in a news release.

Motorists can access Robbins using N.C. Highway 705 South and North Moore Road.  Due to heavy rain on Monday, the town said, “Please use caution along N.C. Highway 705 North as Bear Creek is extremely high.”

“Town staff remain at high alert due to the amount of water infiltration into the sewer system overnight,” said the Town of Robbins. “Staff are closely monitoring the Main Sewer Pump Station along N.C. 705 North. The Main Pump station was flooded during Hurricane Florence and is operating with a portable bypass pump.”

Town staff are operating under an emergency response and are seeking assistance other agencies and contractors to get this resolved quickly.
