Select business classes canceled at UNC-Pembroke after bomb threat

The University of North Carolina at Pembroke said it received a bomb threat for the School of Business on Friday morning, Oct. 7.

Following the threat, James A. Thomas Hall and the Business Administration Building were evacuated.

This threat has been investigated by UNCP Campus Police and Public Safety in collaboration with the FBI and SBI.

With the help of a specialized bomb detection unit, James A. Thomas Hall and the Business Administration Building have been deemed safe. The buildings will reopen for occupancy, effective immediately.

Classes in James A. Thomas Hall and the Business Administration Building remain canceled for the day.
