North Carolina Department of Transportation is beginning a construction project on U.S. Highway 1.
The six-week project begins June 1, according to the Town of Aberdeen.
Road crews will be resurfacing the highway “from the intersection of Hwy. 1 and Hwy. 5 north to Smithfield’s Restaurant in Southern Pines.”
Please use caution in the area while the construction work takes place between 7 p.m. – 7 a.m.
