A structure fire was reported at a Linville Gardens condo at approximately 11:30 pm Friday night. The first arriving fire units reported seeing flames showing from Highway 5.
Multiple fire departments responded from across the county due to the threat of the fire quickly spreading to other units. Crews had the fire under control after 30 minutes but remained on the scene dealing with hot spots and making sure the fire was completely extinguished.
The unit appeared to have extensive damage throughout and no injuries were reported. The Fire Marshal was called in to investigate the cause of the fire.
Responding to the scene were fire units from Pinehurst, Aberdeen, Southern Pines, West End, Eastwood, Moore County EMS, and Pinehurst Police Department.
