A two-vehicle collision occurred on Highway 24/27 and Grady Rd. at approximately 4 p.m. Tuesday in Cameron.
Emergency responders arrived to find one lane of Highway 24/27 blocked by a heavy-damage T-bone collision. One vehicle involved was a Hyundai Tucson with heavy front-end damage and air bag deployment. It was occupied by a driver and one passenger.
The second vehicle was a Ford F150 with heavy driver’s side damage and air bag deployment. The trailer hauled by the Ford was knocked loose, and its belongings were scattered on the road. Just the driver occupied the Ford.
According to the State Highway Patrol, the Ford F150 failed to yield at the stop on Grady Rd. It was then struck in the side by the Hyundai Tucson traveling east on Highway 24/27.
EMS responded to the scene and evaluated all patients. The driver and passenger of the Hyundai were both transported to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Ford was not transported.
A detour was established around the accident while the scene was investigated, debris was cleared from the road, and vehicles were towed.
