A two-vehicle collision Wednesday afternoon shut down a road and sent one driver to the hospital. The T-bone accident happened around 4:30 p.m. on Cypress Church Road at the intersection of Atkins Road just outside of Vass.
According to authorities on scene, a Subaru Forester was stopped at the intersection and pulled out into the path of a Honda Civic traveling toward Vass. Cypress Church Road was shut down for about an hour while crews worked the scene, and the vehicles were removed.
N.C. State Highway Patrol was on the scene investigating the crash.
