Traffic stop on motorcycle leads to seizure of meth, several charges

Detectives with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office arrested a motorcyclist on several charges after a traffic stop. He was placed at the Moore County Detention Center under a $600,000 secured bond. 

“On September 11, 2023, Detectives with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a motorcycle in the 400 block of Etta Bell Road in Eagle Springs,” said Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields in a news release. “Detectives initiated the traffic stop due to the motorcycle not having a registration plate. During the traffic stop, Detectives conducted a search of the motorcycle and driver. As a result of the search, methamphetamine and items of drug paraphernalia were located.”

Jesse Mabe, 39, of Biscoe, was arrested on charges of trafficking in methamphetamine by possession, trafficking in methamphetamine by transport, possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while license revoked, operate vehicle with no registration plate.

The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
