Two arrested after Carthage search

Two people face several charges after being arrested during a search in the Carthage area on Friday.

“Detectives from the Moore County Sheriff’s Office assisted Moore County Probation/Parole in searching a residence located in the 200 block of McCrimmon Road,” said the Moore County Sheriff’s Department in a news release on Monday. “Based on evidence uncovered during the probation search, detectives executed a search warrant at the residence, resulting in the seizure of methamphetamine, buprenorphine and naloxone (Suboxone), buprenorphine hydrochloride (Subutex), and items of drug paraphernalia.”

Crystal Tripp, 38, and Keith Marsh, 47, both from Carthage, were arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, simple possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Tripp was also served with a parole violation and was held on a $25,000 secured bond.

Marsh’s secured bond was set at $20,000.

Both suspects are due in court next week.
