A three-vehicle wreck in Pinebluff left two cars with heavy damage and sent two people to the hospital Wednesday evening. The crash occurred just after 5 p.m. at the intersection of Currant Street and Addor Road.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, preliminary reports indicate that one driver pulled into the path of another vehicle, causing the initial collision.
Authorities told Sandhills Sentinel that the driver of a Subaru came through the stop sign and slammed into the side of a Chevy Colorado pickup truck, resulting in heavy damage. The impact then forced the truck into the path of an oncoming Nissan Sentra. The Sentra’s driver swerved to avoid the truck but collided with a power pole.
Two people were transported to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital. Their conditions are currently unknown.
Addor Road was closed to traffic for an extended period as crews worked to clear the scene.
Pinebluff Fire & Rescue, Aberdeen Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, Pinebluff Police, and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to the scene.
