Two people were transported to Moore Regional Hospital following a two-vehicle collision in Aberdeen on Monday evening. The crash occurred at the intersection of U.S. 1 and Magnolia Drive around 5:30 p.m.
According to Aberdeen Police, the crash happened when one car crossed into the path of the other, though further details and possible charges were not provided as the investigation is ongoing.Â
The force of the impact resulted in both vehicles sustaining heavy front-end damage and left parts of the vehicles scattering the roadway.
Two individuals were transported from the Chevy sedan with non-life-threatening injuries.
The wreck caused significant traffic delays, with backups stretching along U.S. 1 for quite a distance.
Responding to the scene were Aberdeen Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, the Aberdeen Police Department, and Rockwell Towing.
