An Aberdeen man is facing weapons charges and was placed in the Moore County Detention Center under a $1 million secured bond.
Patrice Hoza Taylor Jr., 27, was arrested last Thursday after an investigation, said the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect is accused on stealing a firearm from ‘an individual in the Aberdeen area’ on May 6.
Taylor was charged with one count of larceny of a firearm, one count of possession of a stolen firearm, and one count of possession of a firearm by felon.
“The United States Marshals Service assisted with the apprehension of this suspect,” said the sheriff’s office.
The suspect has a June 12 court date and is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
