Utility Service will be doing a wash out maintenance of two water storage tanks in the Town of Aberdeen. Beginning Monday, Dec. 9, Tank 2 will be washed out, and beginning Monday, Dec. 16, Tank 4 will be washed out, announced the Town on its website.
During this process, each water zone will be supplied by well pressure only. There will be blow-offs in place to help avoid any spike in system pressure and to help reduce the possibility of any leaks being caused by this process.
As always, by keeping the system pressurized with wells only, there is the potential for brief periods of cloudy water and fluctuating pressures due to the system change. The Town will begin lowering water levels three days prior to each proposed date so that water loss will be minimal.
If you have any questions during this maintenance period, please call Public Works at 910-944-7012.
