Moore County Sheriff’s Office Animal Services is kicking off a new, revamped foster program to attempt to find safe, temporary loving homes for their furry guests.

Moore County Sheriff’s Office Animal Services is located at 5235 Hwy 15-501, Carthage, NC, 28327 and is open Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Saturdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Potential foster parents may see available animals on hand and find the best fit for their household. Potential foster-available animals could include newborn kittens and their mother, an older dog that needs some time to adjust in a new environment or even animals with non-life threatening medical issues that need a quiet place to recuperate. The staff at the Animal Shelter can help ensure that it is a good fit for both the animal and the foster family.

Additionally, Animal Shelter staff will supply the foster family with food, dishes, litter boxes, condos, or crates to be able to use for the duration of the foster period.
