Arrest made in drug investigation

An arrest was made in a drug investigation, said Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields in a statement issued to Sandhills Sentinel.

“On November 30th, 2023, Detectives with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Guybo Street in Aberdeen,” said Fields. “During the investigation, Detectives located powder cocaine, crack cocaine, oxycodone, marijuana, two firearms, multiple items of drug paraphernalia, and $335.00 in U.S. currency. The executed search warrant was the conclusion of an ongoing drug investigation.”

Thirty-seven-year-old Leo Hill, of Aberdeen, is facing charges of trafficking in opium or heroin, possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II-controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, maintain a vehicle, dwelling, or place to keep a controlled substance, simple possession of schedule VI-controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

The suspect was jailed under a $35,000 secured bond. He is due in court on Jan. 10 and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
