Carolina Water Service is advising Whispering Pines residents of the annual routine flushing on Monday, April 29, with completion expected on Friday, May 10, said the company on the Village’s website.
Flushing will begin each morning at approximately 8 a.m. and is expected to be completed by 5 p.m. every afternoon. It is completed periodically as a preventative maintenance measure to ensure the best possible water quality.
Customers may experience brief periods of lower-than-normal water pressure, possible cloudy water, and/or temporary discoloration. As a precaution, Carolina Water recommends postponing laundry washing until the flushing has been completed and the water returns to normal each day. If you experience cloudy water once flushing is completed, please run the cold water in the tub for up to three minutes to clear your lines throughout the house.
