Award-winning Savanna Brodar has joined the staff of The Country Club of North Carolina as executive pastry chef.
“Savanna is a rising star in the culinary industry,” said CCNC COO/GM Don Hunter. “Our Executive Chef Adam Deviney has a master plan to make the dining experience at CCNC beyond compare. Finding a young and creative talent like Savanna is a big part of that success.”
Brodar, who was the runner-up in the North Carolina Pastry Chef of the Year competition in 2023, joined CCNC in July after working as executive pastry chef at The Ballantyne Hotel in Charlotte. She won the People’s Choice ‘Best Dessert’ from the North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association in 2021-22.
A graduate of Johnson and Wales University in 2014, Brodar has also worked at The Ritz Carlton and the Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel in Charlotte.
“I am honored to be part of the vibrant and creative kitchen at CCNC,” Brodar said. “Chef Adam is giving us the ability to provide the finest food for the members but also allowing us to be innovative. I am so happy to be part of this team.”
Brodar has also served as a Got To Be NC Culinary Ambassador with the North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association since 2021.
