A rollover accident on Midland Road in Pinehurst sent one person to the hospital Wednesday.
Officials said the driver of a Mini Cooper was traveling toward the traffic circle when they ran off the left side of the road and into the ditch in the median and rolled over. It then continued across the oncoming lanes and slammed into a tree.
The driver was transported to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
Pinehurst Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
Responding to the accident were Pinehurst Fire Department, Moore County EMS, and the Pinehurst Police Department.
