A bicyclist was struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning.
Southern Pines Fire & Rescue, Southern Pines Police Department, and Moore County EMS were dispatched around 10:00 am to Pee Dee and Midland Road in Southern Pines.
A vehicle hit a man riding his bike by the Knollwood Fairways and Driving Range. Â The man, believed to be in his 50’s, was airlifted to UNC Hospital and Trauma Center, according to Southern Pines Fire & Rescue Assistant Chief, Ken Skipper. Â
The man is reported to have life threatening injuries.
Authorities did not release the man’s name, and the accident is currently under investigation.
