CarolinasDentist offers free services for uninsured residents

CarolinasDentist in Southern Pines gave back to the community with free dental care to uninsured residents on June 4. The free service event was announced on social media and by word-of-mouth attracting 20 people who made appointments.

The outreach program served financially struggling members of the community, homeless members and members from a women’s shelter.

Patients filled out their health history information in the festive waiting room decorated with colorful streamers and balloons in honor of the special event.

“We were able to provide seven cleanings, twelve extractions, five fillings, and one crown. As far as any type of follow-up appointments, we don’t have another free dental day scheduled as of yet but are hoping to plan another day in the future,” CarolinasDentist administrator Tabetha Crotzer said.
