A crash between a FedEx truck and an LP gas truck resulted in no injuries to either driver, however, both vehicles incurred damage. The accident occurred at Highway 22 and Fairway Drive in Southern Pines on Wednesday.
According to officials, a Strick’s LP gas truck was headed toward Southern Pines on Highway 22 when the FedEx truck came off Fairway Drive and pulled into the path of the propane truck. The impact caused the FedEx truck to roll over on its side.
Residents said they could hear the crash and came to see what happened. They also said this intersection has been the scene of several accidents.
Southern Pines firefighters worked on the damage to the front of the propane truck so the driver could get the truck started, move out of the road, and reopen to traffic.
Southern Pines Police were on the scene and are investigating the accident.
Responding to the scene were Southern Pines Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, and Southern Pines Police.
