Driver facing charges after Robbins collision

A driver is facing charges after a Honda Civic and a Jeep collided on Saturday night in Robbins. The crash occurred shortly before 8 p.m. at the intersection of North Moore Road and Lakey Siding Road.

According to authorities on scene, the Honda failed to yield at a stop sign while turning right onto North Moore Road from Lakey Siding Road. The Jeep, traveling north on North Moore Road, struck the Honda.

The Jeep came to rest on its side near the edge of the woods, while the Honda sustained significant front-end damage and deployed airbags from the force of the impact.

The driver of the Honda is facing charges, including failure to yield and concealment of a firearm. 

Both drivers, who were the sole occupants of their vehicles, were evaluated by EMS on scene. Neither driver sustained serious injury, and both declined transport. 

Responding to the scene were the Robbins Fire Department, Robbins Police, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, and Moore County EMS.
