A driver escaped uninjured but was taken into police custody after crashing his Ford Ranger on Sunday evening. The crash occurred on Tarry Church Road, near Caldwell Drive, on the outskirts of Biscoe around 7:30 p.m.
Authorities on scene told Sandhills Sentinel that the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed when he struck a mailbox, overcorrected, and lost control of the vehicle, causing it to flip onto its side.
The male driver was uninjured but was taken into custody for a matter unrelated to the crash, according to officials.
Responding to the scene were the Eagle Springs Fire Department, North Carolina State Highway Patrol, and the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.
