driver wrecks medical event

Just before 7 p.m. Friday, a man was driving home 3 miles outside of Robbins on North Moore Road when he ran off the road, jumped a ditch and hit a tree before stopping in an overgrown area. 

The driver was transported to Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst for evaluation.

“The driver is doing good, just shaken up. The accident was possibly caused by a medical condition,” said State Highway Patrol.

The1300 block of North Moore Road was brought to a single lane of traffic for about 45 minutes.

Responding to the scene were Robbins Fire and Rescue, Moore County EMS, and State Highway Patrol.
