A two-vehicle collision occurred Wednesday at the intersection of Union Church Road and Grady Road in Cameron around 4:30 p.m. Though both drivers declined medical transport, the crash resulted in damage to the vehicle and delays to local traffic.
Authorities on scene told Sandhills Sentinel that a Dodge Challenger attempted to make a left turn from Grady Road but failed to see an oncoming Ford, resulting in a collision.
The Ford struck the driver’s side of the Challenger. Airbags deployed in both vehicles, but neither driver sustained injuries. The drivers, who were the sole occupants of their respective vehicles, declined medical transport.
Responding units included Carthage Fire Department, Moore County EMS, Moore County Sheriff’s Office, and North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
