Drug crackdown in Robbins leads to multiple arrests in February

The Robbins Police Department continued its crackdown on drugs in February. Seven drug-related arrests were made during traffic stops. According to Robbins Police Chief Ben Haddock, the following individuals were arrested.

On Feb. 3, Stephanie Maness, of Robbins, was arrested on charges of:

-Felony hit/run causing injury

-Hit/run failure to stop and report property damage

-Failure to report accident

On Feb. 4, Monica Boyd, of Eagle Springs, was stopped on Sunset Drive and Hwy. 705. She reportedly gave officers a fake name. After an investigation, it was discovered that Boyd had an outstanding warrant with Randolph County. She was arrested on charges of:

-Identity theft

-Resisting public officer

-Failure to wear seat belt-front seat

-Felony probation violation out of county

On Feb. 8, William Day was arrested on second-degree trespassing charges.

On Feb. 12, officers made a traffic stop because of a vehicle allegedly failing to stop at a stop sign near Sunset Drive and Hwy. 24/27. Blake Garner, of Robbins, was driving the vehicle and allegedly told officers he had drugs in the vehicle. In total, there were three grams of suspected methamphetamine. His charges were:

— Two counts of felony possession of methamphetamine

— Two counts of felony possession of scheduled two controlled substances

— Two counts of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia

— Misdemeanor carrying a concealed gun

— Traffic infraction failure to wear seat belt-driver

— Traffic infraction directional signal violation

— Misdemeanor of possession of scheduled IV controlled substance

Also in the vehicle with Garner was Grayleigh Scott of Robbins. She was arrested on charges of:

— Felony possession of methamphetamine

— Felony possession of a scheduled II substances

— Two counts of misdemeanor of possession of drug paraphernalia

— Misdemeanor carrying a concealed gun

— Traffic infraction failure to wear a seat belt-front seat

— Probation violation by Moore County

The third occupant of the vehicle was Brandon Lineberry of Robbins. Lineberry was arrested on charges of:

— Felony possession of a firearm by felon

— Felony possession of methamphetamine

— Felony possession of scheduled II substances

— Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia

— Misdemeanor carrying concealed gun

— Traffic infraction failure to wear seatbelt-front seat

The Moore County Sheriff’s Office has added the following charges:

— Felony possession of cocaine

— Felony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place with controlled substance

— Misdemeanor simple possession of scheduled III substances

On Feb. 16, Naomi Riddle, of Robbins, was pulled over for displaying blue lights. Robbins Police said Riddle consented to a search where two bags of a crystal-like substance were discovered. The suspected drugs found weighed three grams. She was on probation at the time of the stop. She was arrested on charges of:

— Felony possession of methamphetamine

— Felony possession of scheduled II controlled substances

— Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia

— Traffic infraction use of red or blue light

On Feb. 20, police pulled Richard Brady over for what appeared to be a fake tag. Robbins Police said Brady gave consent to a search and was found with one gram of suspected fentanyl and two grams of suspected methamphetamine. He was arrested on charges of:

— Two counts of felony possession of methamphetamine

— Two counts of felony possession of scheduled II controlled substances

— Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia

— Traffic infraction fict/alt title/registration card/tag

— Traffic infraction driving a vehicle with no registration

— Traffic infraction no liability insurance

— Traffic infraction canceled/ revoked/suspended certificate or tag

— Traffic infraction expired/no inspection

On Feb. 6 and Feb. 21, Robbins Police Department was called to O’Mars restaurants for a break-in. After an investigation, former employees Joshua Fields (employed in Robbins) and Amber Miller (employed in Biscoe) were arrested.

Fields is facing charges of:

— Two counts of felony breaking and entering

— Two counts of felony larceny after BE

— Felony safecracking

— Two counts of misdemeanor injury to personal property

Miller was arrested on charges of:

— Felony breaking and entering

— Felony larceny after breaking and entering

— Felony conspiracy

— Misdemeanor to personal property

On Feb. 26, Bryant Crawford was pulled over near the In and Out convenience store on Hwy. 705 for suspicious activity. As officers approached the vehicle, a strong smell of suspected marijuana came from the vehicle. After a search was performed, 5 grams of suspected methamphetamine were found, along with a handgun. Crawford was arrested on charges of:

— Felony possession of methamphetamine

— Felony possession of scheduled two controlled substances

— Felony maintaining vehicle/dwelling place with controlled substance

— Felony possession with intent to sell/deliver scheduled two controlled substances

— Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia

— Misdemeanor simple possession of scheduled six controlled substance

— Misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia

On Feb. 27, police were called to Dollar General at the intersection of Hwy. 705 and Hwy. 24/27 for trespassing. An officer approached Donna Cockman, and police said she consented to a search. She was arrested on charges of:

— Felony maintain vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substance

— Misdemeanor second-degree trespassing

— Misdemeanor simple possession of scheduled two controlled substances

— Misdemeanor possession of marijuana up to 1/2 oz.

— Misdemeanor of marijuana paraphernalia

— Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia

The Robbins Police Department worked 312 assignments, with 79 of them being traffic stops for February.

Defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
