Dustin Lynch to headline 'American 250' weekend

Dustin Lynch, known for chart-topping country anthems and crowd-favorite singalongs, will headline the Sandhills Celebrates America 250 weekend Sept. 26 at the Gilliam-McConnell Airfield in Carthage. With more than five billion global streams, 10 No. 1 singles at country radio, and 10 RIAA-certified multi-platinum singles, Lynch continues to push boundaries while keeping the same party-first spirit that made him one of country music’s most consistent hitmakers. The event is presented by Visit Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen and Cooper Ford.

“We are absolutely thrilled to bring Dustin (Lynch) to the Sandhills for what promises to be a fun-filled night of entertainment at a very unique venue,” said Visit Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen President and CEO Phil Werz in a press release. “Dustin has a huge following and is known for his high-energy performances. He’s a must see for people in Moore County as well as from folks coming in from places like Raleigh, Charlotte and Wilmington.”

“Thanks to Visit Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen for partnering with us for this special event,” said Aaron Cooper, owner of Cooper Ford. “Dustin will put on an amazing show and it also allows us to thank the people of Carthage and our loyal customers here and throughout Moore County for what will be our 10th anniversary. Let’s make it one big party for Cooper Ford and America.”

Lynch is expected to bring his popular, high-energy DJ CLUB SET — a one-of-a-kind experience that blends his reimagined country hits, dance remixes, and festival-level DJ production into a nonstop party built for enthusiastic crowds. Lynch will perform his hits live alongside a DJ-driven set packed with explosive drops, unexpected mashups, and club-ready remixes. The show pulls from his growing catalog of crossover releases and CLUB SET REMIXES, including fan favorites like “Small Town Boy,” “Seein’ Red,” “Stars Like Confetti,” and “Thinkin’ ’Bout You.”

The concept has quickly evolved from a special-event idea into a full-scale nightlife brand, earning Lynch the distinction of becoming the first-ever country artist to secure a residency with Wynn Nightlife in Las Vegas. Since launching the format, he’s brought the DJ CLUB SET to major nightlife venues, pool parties, festivals, and high-profile events across the country — creating a lane that uniquely bridges country music and club culture.

Following the concert, there will be a special 300-drone light show provided by SkyElements from Dallas, Texas. The display will illuminate the sky and have a patriotic theme set to music. SkyElements is the largest drone show company in the United States and is famous for its massive drone shows all over the country, and for clients like Disney, Major League Baseball and Coca-Cola. The McConnell-Gilliam Airfield is celebrating its 30th anniversary serving Moore County.
