Voters in Moore County will head to the polls on March 3 for primary elections that will determine which candidates advance to the general election later this year. The Moore County Board of Elections has released early voting details along with a full list of candidates who have filed for office.
Early voting will begin Thursday, Feb. 12, and continue through Saturday, Feb. 28. Voting will be available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with additional voting hours on Saturday, Feb. 21, and Saturday, Feb. 28, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Early voting will not be held on Sundays.
Voters may cast an early ballot at either of two locations: the Moore County Agricultural Center, located at 707 Pinehurst Ave. in Carthage, or the Aberdeen Recreation Station at 301 Lake Park Crossing in Aberdeen. During the early voting period, voters may use either site regardless of their assigned precinct.
Photo identification is required for voting. Curbside voting is available only for voters who are physically unable to enter the voting enclosure due to age or disability.
