FirstHealth Hospice earns ‘Superior Performer’ caregiver satisfaction award

FirstHealth Hospice has been recognized by Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) as a “Superior Performer” for achieving an overall caregiver and family satisfaction score that ranked in the top 20% of all eligible SHP clients for the 2023 calendar year.

The annual SHPBest™ award program was created to acknowledge hospice providers that consistently provide high-quality service to families and caregivers of patients receiving hospice care. The 2023 award recipients were determined by reviewing and ranking the overall CAHPS Hospice survey satisfaction score for more than 1,750 hospice providers.

Tina Gibbs, MSW, LCSW, director of FirstHealth Hospice, said the award reflects FirstHealth’s commitment to excellent patient care.

“Our team works hard to provide compassionate, high-quality end-of-life care and to offer support to both patients and families during difficult transitions,” Gibbs said. “We are proud to receive this rating, which reflects our commitment to our patients.”

With one of the largest CAHPS Hospice benchmarks in the nation, SHP is in a unique position to identify and recognize organizations that have made family and caregiver satisfaction a priority and have been rewarded for their efforts with high marks on the CAHPS Hospice survey.

“SHP is proud to partner with so many organizations that put a high value on providing quality patient care, and we are honored to recognize the hard work and dedication of our top-performing customers with the annual SHPBest awards. These organizations deserve to be celebrated for their commitment to achieving new levels of excellence each and every year,” said Kevin Vogel, president of SHP.
