Five arrests made following joint investigation

Five individuals were arrested following a joint operation conducted in Moore County, reports Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields.

According to a press release from the Moore Sheriff’s Office, deputies assisted Moore County Probation and Parole officers in conducting searches at multiple residences throughout the county on Sept. 9. As a result of the operation, deputies seized methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana, THC edibles, and various items of drug paraphernalia. The operation also focused on monitoring registered sex offenders within the area.

Brian Monroe, 50, of Carthage, was arrested and is facing charges of felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was committed to the Moore County Detention Center under a 48-hour hold with no bond and is scheduled to appear in Moore County District Court on September 25.

Amanda Taylor, 38, of Vass, was arrested and is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was committed to the Moore County Detention Center under a 48-hour hold with no bond and is scheduled to appear in Moore County District Court on September 24.

Jimmy Stewart, 55, of Vass, was arrested and is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a criminal summons to appear in Moore County District Court on September 25.

Sandra Hawkins, 56, of Robbins, was arrested and is facing charges of felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was committed to the Moore County Detention Center under a 48-hour hold with no bond and is scheduled to appear in Moore County District Court on September 25.

Cindy Britt, 47, of Robbins, was arrested and facing charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was committed to the Moore County Detention Center under a $6,500 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Moore County District Court on September 25.

All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
