Fox is back for another season of Bogeys baseball

The Sandhills Bogeys recently announced that Head Coach Andy Fox, the winningest coach in franchise history, will return to lead the team for a third straight season.

The Old North State League (ONSL) 2025 Coach of the Year took the team to the ONSL Championship game in 2024 and a semifinal appearance this past summer. Under his leadership, the Bogeys have also won back-to-back divisional titles.

“I’m extremely happy and grateful to be returning for the 2026 season,” said Fox in a news advisory. “The winning culture of Bogey baseball and the electric atmosphere and passion the fans bring to every game made this an easy decision. We are a well-oiled machine in the Sandhills. Everything and everybody is in place for another championship run.”

In 2024, the team finished with a strong 24-15 record. With a solid group of returning players this past summer, they improved to 28-10. The 28 wins are the most single-season wins in the history of the program.

“Resigning Andy was our number one priority in the offseason, ”said Jay Francis, general manager. “Andy’s experience coaching and recruiting at the collegiate level has played a vital role in retaining top athletes for the Bogeys. His players love him. We are thrilled he’s back. We are ready to lock arms and get to work.”
