The Moore Philharmonic Orchestra is now accepting applications for its annual scholarship competition.
Students in the sixth, seventh or eighth grade at a public school, private school, or accredited home school in Moore County are eligible to apply.
To enter, students must complete the official scholarship application, available at mporchestra.com.
The application deadline is Thursday, April 2, at 6:00 p.m. Applications may be mailed to 125 Pecan Grove Drive, Aberdeen, NC, 28315, or hand-delivered on Thursdays during MPO rehearsals in Wellard Hall at Sandhills Community College.
If necessary, applicants may be asked to perform a short audition piece for the MPO Executive Board Members. These auditions will be held on Thursday, April 16 after 5:30 p.m. Winners will be announced at the MPO Spring Concert.
