New director of surgical services named

Lauren Green, MSN, RN, has joined Central Carolina Hospital as Director of Surgical Services effective Feb. 18.

A native of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Green worked for more than a decade in peri-operative services at several Texas hospitals and surgery centers, including multiple leadership roles. In 2022, she relocated to North Carolina and joined Duke Raleigh Hospital, where she worked three years as Nurse Manager of Operations, overseeing a team of more than 100 staff.

She sees tremendous growth opportunities at CCH and in Sanford as the area continues to grow.

“It’s a small family feel,” Green said. “There are definitely opportunities to grow, but it looks like we are doing that. This area is growing, so hopefully we will continue to get busier and continue to grow.”

“I think this is a very welcoming place,” she added. “I have felt very welcome so far, with an intimate feel with the team, including the executive team. We have got a good mix of longer tenured staff and some newer staff coming in, adding their feedback and observations to make it better.”

Green received her bachelor of science degree in nursing from Texas Woman’s University in 2012. She earned her master of science degree in nursing education, also from Texas Woman’s University, in 2023.

She and her husband, Will, plan to live in Cameron.
