No serious injuries were reported in a single-vehicle rollover crash Saturday afternoon on U.S. Highway 1 south of Pinebluff.
When emergency crews arrived, they found a heavily damaged vehicle off the roadway. According to law enforcement, the car was traveling north on U.S. Highway 1 and had just passed the intersection with Addor Road when the driver lost control and the vehicle ran off the left side of the road. As it rolled, the car crossed the median and nearly entered the southbound lanes of U.S. 1.
Authorities at the scene told Sandhills Sentinel that the vehicle had rolled about four times before coming to a rest.
Both occupants had exited the vehicle before emergency crews arrived. After being evaluated by EMS, the passenger was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the incident was not disclosed on scene.
Pinebluff Fire and Rescue, Moore County EMS, Pinebluff Police, and the N.C. Highway Patrol responded to the scene.
