Alice Sanchez, age 85, of Carthage, NC passed away at her home surrounded by her family on September 11, 2023. Alice was born in Moore County, NC February 10, 1938 to Edison Martin McCaskill and Mable Potts McCaskill. Alice was a devoted and beloved wife, mother and grandparent. She and her late husband, Albert loved to travel and spending time together. Alice was a Christian and active community member. She worked for St Joseph of the Pines as the business office administrator for over 40 years. Alice was a master homemaker, loved crafts, knitting, cooking and gardening. She enjoyed driving her golf cart around the family farm to see wildlife and the produce growing. Alice loved spending time with her pets. She never met a stranger and always made everyone she came in contact with feel loved and welcomed. You never saw Alice not smiling.
She was trusting, confident and shaped many lives with a profound and positive light. She will be missed by all that knew her.
Alice is survived by her son, John Frye; daughter, Angela Sanchez (her husband, Chris Abbey); grandchildren, Kristin Lee, Carrie Michelle, Martin Curtis, Alec Colby and Danielle Donese. Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert Sanchez.
Celebration of her wonderful life to be held at her home on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 3pm. Memorial contributions can be made to Moore Humane Society.
