Roger Timothy Williams, 70, was born on June 15, 1953, to Linnie Ray Williams and Prescilla Frances Williams in Southern Pines/Manly. He passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024, at FirstHealth Hospice House.
Roger loved the outdoors, especially catfishing at Santee Cooper. He was a craftsman and enjoyed woodworking and making things with his hands. He also enjoyed spending time with his family. Roger worked 30 years maintaining the golf course at Mid Pines. He also worked for the town of Southern Pines before retiring. He was known for his blonde hair, blue eyes, and smiling face. Roger will surely be missed and he was very loved.
In addition to his parents, Roger is preceded in death by his brothers and sister: Herbert Lee Williams, Charles Francis Williams, and Mary Ruth McNeill. He is also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Christopher Connard Martin Sr.
He is survived by his daughter Sherry Hardy and husband Darrick. Their children Sumer and Chris Harper, Christopher Martin (Natalie), Katelyn and Ryan Wade. He is survived by his son Tim Williams and his wife Jeweline. Their children: Amber Williams (Zach), Hunter and Katie Williams, Rebekah Williams (Wade), Jason and Zayda Scarlette, Nathan Scarlette and Summer Scarlette. He is survived by five great-grandsons, Aiden and Andrew Harper, Keaton Wade, Branson Marsh, and Syrus Williams. He is also survived by his brother Ray Junior Williams and his wife Paula. His brother William Harold Williams and sister, Joyce Glover and her husband Steve.

A memorial service for Roger will be held at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 3 p.m., with Pastor Mike Garner officiating.
