Charles Edward Jacobs, age 81, of Vass, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst surrounded by his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Open Arms Community Church at 1:00PM with Pastor John Brown officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 12:00-1:00PM. Burial will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery in Lakeview.
Charles was born on June 6, 1944 in Marlboro County, South Carolina to the late Thomas and Annie Lue Locklear Jacobs. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Rosa Jacobs, Mary Jacobs, Janie Jacobs, Faith Jacobs, Clara Jacobs, Betty Jean Harwood, Annie Jacobs; brothers, Gordon Jacobs, Henry Jacobs, Thomas Junior Jacobs and Thomas C. Jacobs.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Stella Turney Jacobs; sons, Dennis Edward Jacobs (Tina) of Ellerbe and Ricky Ray Jacobs (Denise) of Troy; sister, Avis Jacobs Atkinson of Aberdeen; grandchildren, Bliss Jacobs, Ricky Jacobs, II., Samantha “Doodle” Jacobs and Summer Jacobs; great-grandchildren, Kieran and Grayson; step-granddaughter, Lauren Lassiter Pearl (Doug) and their children, Lindley Pearl and Presley Pearl.
Charles loved racing and playing softball. He traveled playing slow pitch for 50 years with a local team. As much as he loved racing and softball, his greatest joy in life was his family. He was so loved and will be greatly missed.
