Ethan Cole Hess, 19, of Southern Pines, passed on Monday, July 13 2020 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
A walk thru visitation will be held from 3 to 4 PM on Saturday, July 18 followed by a memorial service at 4 PM at the Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines. COVID-19 guidelines will be observed and mask would be preferred.
Ethan was born April 30, 2001 in Moore County to Jeffrey Lee Hess and Anneliese Nacole (Sprinkle) Tate. He was a graduate of Pinecrest High School class of 2020 and was currently employed at Texas Roadhouse in Aberdeen. He loved to play guitar, video games and was an avid chess player. He played in the school band not playing just one instrument but several. He has a passion for music. He was always ready to help others and had friends all over the world.
He is survived by his father, Jeffrey Lee Hess and fiancé Ashley Burgess of Southern Pines; his mother, Anneliese Tate and husband David of Great Falls, SC; two brothers, Zachary Tate Hess of Great Falls, SC; and Asher Hess of Southern Pines; a sister, Avery Hess of Southern Pines; grandparents, Deborah Hess of Southern Pines and Dennis and Laura Sprinkle of Mooresville, NC; also surviving are several aunts and uncles.
Ethan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Merle Hess.
