Frank Paul Sabatino, of Vass, North Carolina, passed away on April 16, 2025, at the age of 76. He passed peacefully after developing a blood-based staph infection which caused multiple strokes. He had several family members with him at the time of his passing.
He leaves his wife of 56 years, Randy Sabatino, his children Lorelle Carpenter and Karen Sabatino, his grandchildren Lorne Feeser, Sean Feeser, Morgan Carpenter, and Skye Carpenter, and his sister, Jan Sabatino.
Frank, originally from Brooklyn, New York, was a leader in the electric utility industry and was instrumental in structuring the wholesale power trading market in the northeast. He worked for Northeast Utilities (now Eversource) for 35 years and was Senior Vice President Power Marketing at the time of his retirement. In addition, his career ranged from the position of chair of the New England Power Pool to his consulting business where he provided consulting expertise and expert witnessing services to many companies in the electric utility industry across the United States and Canada.
Frank was a licensed professional engineer and held a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island and a Master of Science in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Frank was a lifelong fan of sports and played football, softball, golf, and racquetball at various stages in his life. He was a highly intelligent, strong and analytical person who loved his family and his role as their patriarch. He also loved his cat, Leonardo.
The family will hold a private celebration of life in the Outer Banks of North Carolina later this year.
