James William Hill, 61, of Jackson Hamlet, N.C. passed away on Friday, May 24, 2019. He was born December 6, 1957 in Moore County, N.C. to Thomas Goins and Alice Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Brenda Hill and one great-nephew, K’Lib Goins.
Mr. Hill received his education at Pinecrest High School. Over the years, he worked at Roses Department Store, HOW Enterprise and Intek textile. James enjoyed working on cars. His passions were drag racing and bingo. He was also a bingo coordinator. James touched many lives as he helped people in need. He gave his heart to God and was a member of Full Gospel Church of God in Christ in Hoffman, N.C.
He leaves to cherish his memory: two brothers; Thomas Edward (Renee) Hill of Jackson Hamlet, NC and Gary Blue of Vass, NC, one sister; Cynthia Hill of Jackson Hamlet, NC, three nieces; LaTasha Hill of Fayetteville, NC, Latoya Hill of Southern Pines, NC and Tiara Hill of Jackson Hamlet, NC, one great-nephew; Zy’Aire Goins of Southern Pines, NC, his best friend; Deon Faulk., a special friend; Robert Thrush, two special mentees; Joseph Burton and Dante, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Family visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Jones and Little Funeral Home in Aberdeen, NC.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Full Gospel Church of God in Christ, 4153 US Hwy 1, Hoffman, N.C. Burial will follow at Jackson Hamlet Community Cemetery.
