Joann Wilson Cummings, age 73, of Carthage, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 11:00am at New Beginning Assembly of God Church in Vass with Pastor Jane Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in Raeford City Cemetery in Raeford.
Joann was born in Moore County on March 9, 1950 to the late John Willis Wilson and Annie Mae Pate Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Wayne Wilson.
She loved the Lord and worshipping with her church family. She loved being around her grandchildren, as well as going shopping, cooking and baking and most of all singing, she had a great voice.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Michael Cummings; daughters, Michele Auch of Pinehurst, Priscilla Painter of Cameron; grandchildren, Kelci Auch, Brent Hobgood, Brittany Holt (Chris), Brandi Richardson, Ethan Richardson (Danielle), Brock Painter (Lucrezia), Cody Painter; great-grandchildren, Harper Holt, Levi Holt, Tyvannia Haynes, Mark Haynes, Dawson Richardson, Aldo Painter; sisters, Doris Edminston of Carthage, Mauricia Dick (Andy), Mary Jane Andrews of Raeford; brothers, Dan Wilson of Carthage, John Wilson of Aberdeen, Jimmy Wilson of Pinehurst, Steve Wilson of Vass.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Joann Cummings to New Beginning Assembly of God Church.
