Kevin Franklin Steed, of Carthage, at the age of 51, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gregg Newton officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
Kevin was born in Pinehurst, North Carolina, on September 3, 1974, to Franklin Garland Steed and Carolyn Caddell Steed.
He grew up in Moore County with lots of friends, playing all sports. He played football, baseball, basketball and tennis. Kevin graduated from Union Pines High School.
Kevin was a wonderful son, brother, father and friend who loved his children more than anything. He would also do anything for a friend.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his estranged wife, Tiffany Garner Steed; children, Nevik Steed and Bryson Steed of Raleigh, Chloe Steed, Sophie Steed and Dagen Steed all of Carthage; sister, Dianne Steed Bunnell (Jeff) of Virginia; nephew, Drake Wilson of Florida.
He is forever loved and will be greatly missed.
