Obituary for Kevin Michael Halligan of Pinehurst 

Kevin Michael Halligan, 63, of Pinehurst, North Carolina, passed away in his home on December 25, 2023.  Born in Englewood, New Jersey on December 17, 1960, he was a beloved husband, father, son, uncle, brother, and friend.

Kevin was a man of many passions and interests.  He had a deep love for food and was a talented chef, known for his culinary expertise and creativity.  He found joy in preparing delicious meals and appreciated the art of good service. Kevin also had a diverse taste in music, enjoying a wide range in genres that brought him inspiration and comfort throughout his life. As a sports enthusiast, he cheered for his favorite New York teams, including the Rangers, Giants, and Yankees.

In his free time, Kevin enjoyed embarking on day trips, camping adventures, and immersing himself in the beauty of the great outdoors. He found solace and peace in nature, appreciating all its wonders.  Kevin’s dedication to his sons was unwavering, and he took immense pride in supporting their involvement in the Boy Scouts. Both of his sons achieved the prestigious Eagle Scout designation, a testament to Kevin’s guidance and encouragement.

Kevin’s memory will forever be cherished by his loving wife Tanya, his sons Will and James, his mother Anita, sister Patti, and brothers Bob and Chris. He was a devoted family man who treasured the time spent with loved ones. Kevin’s warm smile, kind heart, and contagious laughter will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Kevin earned a business administration degree from Kings College in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and a culinary arts degree from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. His educational background fueled his passion for the culinary arts and provided him the skills to excel in his career.

During this time of profound loss, let us remember Kevin for the remarkable person that he was.  His legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will forever be etched in our hearts. May he rest in eternal peace.
