LaRue Bullard McCrimmon, age 84 of West End, passed August 27, 2019 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Harnett County on January 28, 1935, daughter of Mary Lou and Charlie Green Bullard.
She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary and life member of the DAV Auxiliary and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, LaRue was preceded in death by a sister Hilda Gray Bullard, a brother Charles Bullard, grandsons William Michael and Jeremy Chavis, and brother-in-law Gerald Brown.
LaRue is survived by her husband William McCrimmon and her children Phyllis Hancox, Steven Garner (Deborah), Darlene Foster, all of Sanford step-children Linda Ferguson (Bobby) of West End and Michael McCrimmon (Marsha) of Whispering Pines, a brother Jerry Bullard (Jannette) of Winston Salem, and a sister Sandra Brown of Sanford, 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held 1 to 2PM on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the Boles Funeral Home in Pinehurst followed by a service at 2PM. Burial will follow in Bethesda Cemetery.
