Mary Katherine “Kathy” Collins Lewis, age 73, of Carthage passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, December 28, 2025 at FirstHealth Hospice House with her family by her side.
A native of Moore County she was a daughter of the late George and Cecilia Peele Collins. Kathy graduated from Union Pines High School and had previously worked at Millikin Mill in Robbins.
On August 15, 2000 she married Mike Lewis and they had 25 wonderful years together.
She was preceded in death by: brothers Albert and Robert Collins; brother in law Bobby Cole.
In addition to her husband Mike she is survived by her daughter Jeanna Waller and husband Justin; sisters, Betty Jean Worrell and husband Hugh, Earline Cole; brother David Collins and wife Cheryl; grandchildren Lacey and Alaina Waller, Maddie Sellars, Kendra Spring and husband Zack; great grandchildren Reyna and Avery Spring.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Summer Hill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
