Phyllis Priest Harmon, 93, of Dillion, South Carolina, formerly of Sanford, entered her Heavenly home Saturday June 3rd. Funeral services will be held Friday, June the 9th at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Rogers Pickard Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Lee Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Harmon was born on April 26th, 1930, to Hobart and Ida Lyons in Spangler, West Virginia. She worked for many years as a waitress at Mrs. Wenger’s Restaurant, Lee Luncheonette and retired from Harbor Maytag. She was a talented pianist, playing by ear, taught by her father. She was a member of Bishopville Church of God in Dillion where her son is the Pastor.
She was predeceased by her husband Damon A. Priest and Larry Harmon, her sons Timothy and Mike Preast, her brothers Loyd, Tom, Lee and Charles Lyons, and her sisters Freida McGraw, Helen Hayes, Juanita Young and Lena Ash.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Beverly Carmichael (Andy) of Dumont, New Jersey, Jim Priest (Cyndi) of Arcadia, Florida, Penny Priest of Robbins, North Carolina, and Bishop Paul Priest (Lisa) of Dillion, South Carolina. Additionally, she leaves behind fifteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
