O’Neal swimmers finish season as state runner-up

The O’Neal women’s swim team earned the state runner-up title at the NCISAA meet.

Nearly every swimmer achieved a personal best. Michaela Stone, Victoria York, Jordin Reed, Bethany Risseeuw, Morgan Lewis, Malia Stone, and Abigail Schupp were named All-State for their performances.

The men’s team also had a strong showing, finishing ninth overall.

Carson Pusser recorded two personal bests in the 50 and 100 freestyle, while Sam Schmitz earned All-State honors in the 200 and 500 freestyle.

“It was a remarkable effort by all the swimmers,” said the O’Neal School in a news advisory. “The coaching staff expressed immense pride in these Falcon athletes and all they have accomplished.”
