The Southern Pines Police Department is investigating a drive-by shooting that occurred on S. Gains Street near W. Wisconsin Ave. Tuesday early afternoon.
Southern Pines Deputy Police Chief Charles Campbell said to Sandhills Sentinel that a 24-year-old man was shot and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to Moore Regional Hospital in a car.
Campbell said this was not a random act of violence.
“Additional info will be released as the investigation progresses,” said Campbell.
