A computer circuit board, a kitchen strainer, a hand saw. Everyday items turned into works of art. The creative work of local artists Lisa Richman and Dean Segovis, titled Recycled Renaissance, is now on display at the Sandhills Community College Boyd Library.
Together, Lisa and Dean, have taken donated plastic, fabric, glass and metal and transformed them into interesting pieces — bringing the phrase Reduce, Reuse, Recycle to life. They credit their families and teachers for their inventive, explorative and creative interest early in life.
Recycled Renaissance can be seen at the Hastings Gallery of Art in the Sandhills Community College Boyd Library. The display will be available for viewing until Nov. 19. The library is open Monday through Saturday, closed Sundays.
